The Purpose:
We represent the student body of Mendocino College in all matters related to our college community.
The Business:
We raise money for student activities and scholarships; We promote the individual student to take responsibility for their performance, health, well being and education.
The Values:
- We promote serving students of all ages through our programs and activities.

- We promote high expectations, ethical and moral standards, positive reinforcement and recognition.

Citizens of the United States have celebrated Independence Day and Presidents' Day since the 1870s, and in 2005, the nation began to celebrate Constitution Day. Also known as Citizenship Day, Constitution Day is an American holiday honoring the day 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the United States Constitution. This historic date was September 17, 1787.

How Can I Register to Vote:
You can register to vote in Mendocino County or Lake County if you are all of the following:
- You are a United States citizen.
- You are a Mendocino County or a Lake County resident (you must register to vote in your county of residence).
- You will be 18 years of age by the next election.
- You are not found by a court to be mentally incompetent. (Voting Rights: Persons Subject to Conservatorship)
- You are not serving a state or federal prison term for the conviction of a felony. (Voting Rights: Persons with a Prior Felony Conviction)
Where Can I Register to Vote:
- Registering to vote online is the fastest and easiest way to register.
- Pick up a registration form in person. You can go to any of the following locations in either Mendocino or Lake Counties:

- Local DMV
- Public Library

The mailing address for submission of the voter registration forms can be found on the voter registration form itself.
When Do I Have to Be Registered By:
You must be registered to vote at least 15 days before Election Day. For more information, please visit the California Secretary of State’s website.
Did you miss the registration deadline? No problem. Same Day Voter Registration, known as Conditional Voter Registration, allows Californians who miss the deadline to register to vote or update voter registration for an election.
After You Have Registered to Vote:
- You will receive a Voter Notification Card (VNC) in the mail. This card confirms you are registered to vote. Please review the printed information on this card to make sure it is correct. If you see an error, please contact:

- The Elections Office will send you a voter information guide a few weeks before the election if you are a registered voter at least (15) days prior to the election date.
- All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the Election.
