Mendocino College Student Resources

Lending Library

Mendocino College Library's Lending Library functions to support students in need of academic resources to positively impact the student's ability to progress in their courses with the rental of:

Textbooks
Calculators: Texas Instruments 30XS, 34, 84, and 89.
Chromebooks
Hotspots

Lending Library rentals are free to students and are loaned for 1 semester. Quantities are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Help us continue to provide future students with resources by returning materials. Some materials may be renewed, please see the library staff.

Spring 2024 Requests

Please bring your Spring 2024 Student Schedule to renew/check out materials.

Email libraryhelp@mendocion.edu for questions, please include your full name and student ID number.

Spring 2024 Semester Materials are due back by, Friday, May 24, 2024. Chromebooks and Hotspots not returned or renewed will be deactivated*.

Eligibility

To be eligible to borrow materials from the lending library, the student must:

Be currently enrolled for the semester. Please bring a copy of your current schedule to help us expedite your lending process.
For technology (Chromebooks/Hotspots) students must be at least 18 years old.

Student Expectations

Check-out period: 1 semester
Agree to return materials on time.
Understand that returning materials on time helps support other students to access materials and late returns have a negative effect on peers.
Stay in communication with the library if Lending Library materials are lost/damaged or if materials are not able to be returned on time.

Free Office 365 for Students

Mendocino College students can receive a free copy of Microsoft Office 365. You will need to use your student email address to register.

If you have problems accessing your student email, call IT Help at (707) 468-3210 or e-mail it-help@mendocino.edu for assistance.

The Mendocino College Writing Center is located in the Southeast corner of the library. This is where all of the scheduled writing labs (English 60, 160, and 560) take place.

Current hours are:

Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-2:00pm and 4-6pm

Fridays from 10:00am-1pm
