The Finish Line Scholars Program supports students in completing their educational goals—whether earning a certificate, degree, or transferring to a four-year university—within one academic year. Eligible students may receive up to $4,000 in scholarship funds, along with additional support services. Priority is given to students with the greatest financial need.
Student Responsibilities
As a Finish Line Scholar, you must:
- Meet with a Counselor every semester
- Participate in at least two workshops or campus life activities each semester
- Attend Finish Line Scholars Cohort Gathering each semester
- Enroll full-time in both Fall and Spring semesters
- Take only courses required for your program of study
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, you must:
Complete the FAFSA or CADAA
Be eligible for the California College Promise Grant (CCPG)
Demonstrate unmet financial need (as determined by Financial Aid)
Be on track to complete their program within one year
Enroll in at least 12 units per semester (or full-time equivalent)*
Have completed at least 50% of their program requirements
Meet with a counselor and complete a Comprehensive Education Plan
In addition, students must meet at least two of the following criteria:
Completed transfer-level English
Completed transfer-level Math
Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
*Students registered with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) may be eligible for an accommodation to the 12-unit enrollment requirement.

- Application will open August 1, 2026 and remain open while funds are available.
- All application components must be submitted to be considered
