Mendocino College Theatre Arts Department Presents:

Big Love

By Charles L. Mee

Directed by Lucas Verbrugghe

In this bold and beautiful re-imagining of one of the western world’s oldest written plays, 50 brides flee a forced marriage to their 50 cousins and seek refuge at a beautiful Italian villa.  But when the grooms show up in their helicopter, mayhem ensues.  Filled with pop songs, slow dances, and feats of physical endurance, the characters fight to the death for their right to exist … and to love.  The question is, who will be left standing at the end?

Rumors is a fast-paced who-done-it that promises to keep everyone at the

edge of their seats. When guests arrive at a dinner party to find the host unconscious and

Synopsis

In this madcap, fast-paced farce, a group of high society New Yorkers are plunged into a frantic cover-up.  Charley Brock, the Deputy Mayor of New York, and his wife Myra are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary.  But when Ken and his wife Chris arrive to the party, they find that Charley’s shot himself, Myra is nowhere to be found, and the house staff has disappeared.  As they scramble to make sense of the situation the doorbell rings!  As more and more guests arrive, each couple is caught in a web of impossible lies in an attempt to protect their hosts reputation and, by extension, their own...

With sharp dialogue, and explosive physical comedy, Neil Simon’s Rumors is a fun and challenging ensemble piece.

Come join the fun!
