HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THEATRE PRODUCTIONS
FALL 2023
The Mendocino College Theatre Arts Department presents
Promise of Paradise
(The Back to the Land Phenomenon)
an original Mendocino College Narrative Theatre production, directed by Ellen Weed and Kate Magruder
performances October 19th-22nd 2023 in the Mendocino College Center Theatre
This production will draw on students' original writing and personal stories about the back to the land phenomenon in Mendocino County to create an original ensemble production. This fall semester class will then go on to further explore students’ own personal narratives, centered around the advent of utopian communities worldwide (1968-1978), and how they continue to shape our lives today.
Ellen Weed will guide students through a process of storytelling, role-play, and improvisation to culminate in a showcase of their personal back to the land stories in the Little Theatre at the end of the semester in December.
Call Ellen Weed (707) 462-6366 for additional information about participating in this production as a performer/creator.
