Students can make a meaningful impact, help save lives, and experience the fulfillment of giving back to their community. Turn compassion into action and help ensure lifesaving blood is available when it's needed most.

Ready to give blood? Whether you're a first-time donor or returning to donate again, Vitalant makes it easy to find a blood donation location near you and schedule a blood donation appointment online.

Things to know before you donate:

  • Review Blood Donor Eligibility before making an appointment.
  • Appointments are strongly encouraged to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Arrive well-nourished and hydrated.
  • Bring valid identification with your first and last name, and either a photo or date of birth.
  • The donation process takes approximately one hour (allow an additional 30 minutes for a Power Red Cell Donation).
  • Consider powering up your donation with an automated Power Red Cell Donation.
  • Donors are encouraged to complete the Fast Track Health History questionnaire on the day of their donation by visiting Vitalant.org/health or logging into their donor profile.

Thank you for helping save lives in our community!

Did you know?
Blood drives address the urgent need for blood products — about 30,000 units of red blood cells, 6,000 units of platelets, and 6,000 units of plasma are needed daily in the U.S.!

Vitalant. Donations can save up to three lives, as blood is separated into components for different medical needs.
