    Mendocino College is excited to present a dynamic exhibit,” Transculture”, by San Francisco artist Cathy Lu and Sacramento based artist, Sandi Escobar. Both Lu and Escobar explore themes of bi-cultural identity drawing on their experiences growing up in first generation Chinese and Mexican American families.

    College of the Redwoods and the Mendocino Lake Community College District have finalized an agreement to have the Mendocino Lake Community College District provide educational and student support services at the Mendocino Coast campus through June 30, 2017. College of the Redwoods and the Mendocino Lake Community College District have been working on this project for two years. The coast campus has been under the oversight of Mendocino College for the last two semesters.

    Mendocino College has much cause to celebrate.  On June 29, Superintendent/President Reyes received official notice of Mendocino College's continued full accreditation status, the highest level of accreditation reaffirmation possible.  This reaffirmation marks the 42nd year in which Mendocino College has been fully accredited without sanction.

    Mendocino College Softball had 5 players receive All Conference awards for their efforts during the 2015 Season. 1st team honors were awarded to Kyndall Smallcomb (.369), Amber McQueen (.329). Sophomore Haley Higgins was awarded 2nd team All Conference and finished the season with a 902 fielding percentage.

    Two freshmen (Emily Brooks and Kimberly Mitchell) also received honorable mention All Conference awards.  Emily Brooks was a impact player in the outfield for the Eagles and Kimberly Mitchell was one of the conference best hitters with a .353 batting average.

  • Mendocino College Announces the 2015 Spring Dance Festival

    For the past fourteen years, the Mendocino College Dance Department has acknowledged National Dance Week with its own celebration of dance, the Spring Dance Festival, and this year is no exception!  Ballet, contemporary, jazz, Afro-Cuban, Middle Eastern, hip hop, tap dance and aerial silk dance are just a handful of dance forms that will delight those who attend this event. 

  • Mendocino College Theatre and Ukiah Civic Light Opera Present Legally Blonde: The Musical

    “Let’s paint the town pink!” exclaims Joel Shura, director of the Mendocino College production of Legally Blonde: The Musical, as he cheers his cast on in these final weeks of rehearsals for what will surely be a dazzling performance.  The show, which runs April 10 through 19 celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Mendocino College Center for Visual and Performing Arts and is sure to delight all!

    Lake County Friends of Mendocino College and the Friends of the Mendocino College Library are co-sponsoring a reading event featuring guest readers Armando Garcia-Dávila and Waights Taylor Jr. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM in room 7050 at the Mendocino College Lake Center. The center is located at 2565 Parallel Drive in Lakeport. Admission to this event is free.
