To help you get started, here are the next steps to guide you through the process:
- Step One: Apply
- Step Two: Financial Aid
- Step Three: Online Orientation
- Step Four: Placement
- Step Five: Academic Counseling
- Step Six: Enroll in Classes
Step One: Apply
Apply to Mendocino College through CCCApply
The first step towards becoming a Mendocino College student is to submit your application through the California Community College website CCCApply. This is the statewide online application system. This streamlined process ensures that your application is efficiently processed, and you receive timely updates regarding your admission status. Once you have submitted your application, you can return to this page to complete the next step.
Step Two: Financial Aid
Apply for Financial Aid
Financing your education is a critical aspect of your college experience. We encourage all students to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA). This can qualify you for a variety of financial aid options, including tuition waivers, grants, and scholarships. Our knowledgeable financial aid office is here to guide you through the application process and help you secure the financial resources you need to pursue your academic goals. Don't hesitate to reach out to them for personalized assistance.
Step Three: Online Orientation
Complete Orientation
The orientation eases your transition to Mendocino College by providing valuable information on college programs, services, polices and procedures. You may complete the new student orientation online, using your WebAdvisor User ID and Password, or attend an in person orientation provided through the Counseling Office. Orientation is required of all new students and students returning after an absence. Please contact the Counseling Department directly at (707) 468-3048 for more information.
Step Four: Placement
Math and English Placement
Placement results help you and your counselor determine which classes are most appropriate. Students can now place into math and English courses using high school records and our new placement tool instead of taking placement tests.
Step Five: Academic Counseling
Education Plan and Counseling
Our dedicated counseling team is here to support you in planning your academic journey. Schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss your goals, interests, and educational pathway. They will guide you in selecting the right courses, ensuring you make progress towards your desired degree or transfer plan. Whether you need assistance with course selection, educational planning, or career exploration, our counselors are ready to help. (707) 468-3048
