Mendocino College is thrilled to extend a warm invitation to the entire community for our 11th Annual Día de los Muertos celebration. This vibrant event will take place on Wednesday, Oct.  25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pomo Plaza, on the Ukiah campus.

The heart of the celebration lies in the beautifully crafted altars, lovingly prepared by Mendocino College students, staff, and community members. These altars will be assembled beginning on Friday, Oct. 20, and will be open until Oct. 27 at the Mendocino College Lowery Student Center.

You’ve no doubt heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. What about Giving Tuesday? After the initial consumer spending rush of the holiday season is over, many people are moved to pause their deal hunting to do some good. And that’s where Giving Tuesday comes in, a global generosity movement to inspire people to donate to the charities they believe in. And while there are many opportunities to donate to large, international organizations on Giving Tuesday, the local nonprofits in your own community would also welcome your support.

After a three-year hiatus, printmaking is again being offered at the Mendocino College Ukiah Campus.

The Fall semester welcomed the first group of printmaking students back to the school and marked the maiden voyage of a brand-new printing press. The heavy-duty Takach press allows for large prints, and cuts down on wait time for students. The studio also has two small presses, great for beginning students.

Mendocino College Repertory Dance Company presents Contours & Rhythms, a captivating performance of contemporary and traditional dance, West African dance forms, Ballet, Galician dances, and regional Ballet Folklorico Jalisco dance. Under the direction of Eryn Schon-Brunner, dancers will bring to life new choreographic works by local and nationally esteemed choreographers: Jessie Beck, Rocio Ramos, Eryn Schon-Brunner, Adrienne Simpson, and Kirsten Turner.

Ukiah, CA – Mendocino College is thrilled to announce that it has received a prestigious five-year, $1.5 million grant from the California Community College system. This generous funding, which begins in June, will enable the college to continue providing vital resources, support, and services specifically tailored to Native American students. Mendocino College is one of only 20 institutions selected to receive funding for the establishment of a Native American Student Success & Support Program.
