PART-TIME AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR

Mendocino College is currently accepting applications for a part-time automotive instructor at the Ukiah campus. Please contact Doug Boswell (dboswell@mendocino.edu) with any questions regarding the classes.

DUTIES: Duties of part-time instructors include: all assigned teaching hours; preparing classroom presentations and assignments; evaluating student performances including quizzes, comprehensive examinations, term papers, and laboratory experiments; supervision of manipulative classes; availability for consultation with students; staying current with developments in their respective fields.

QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum qualifications for a part-time Automotive Instructor are any bachelor's degree or higher and two years experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience. Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a master's degree. The professional experience required must be directly related to the automotive teaching assignment.

ASSIGNMENT/SALARY: Assignments are made on a part-time, hourly contract basis. A part-time teaching assignment may not exceed a total of 67% of an annual full-time assignment. Salary is determined by the total class hours times the individual's hourly rate of pay.
