Christine Boyd graduated from the University of California at Irvine, where she studied dance with internationally known choreographers Eugene Loring and Anthony Tudor, as well as master classes with Paul Taylor, Lar Lubovitch, and many other ballet and modern dancers. Subsequent years of study included ballet master classes with New York City Ballet dancers Suki Shorer, Violette Verdy, Sean Lavery, SF Ballet ballerina Evelyn Cisneros, and with other ballet professionals. While pursuing dance as an avocation, Christine served for over 32 years in county-level administrative management, retiring as a Deputy Fire Marshal/Battalion Chief for a large metropolitan fire department. Her dance studies continued, and included teaching classes in Southern California. She also enjoys doing classical choreography, especially for students who wish to gain experience in traditional dance with a modern sensibility.
