Welcome to Distance Education at Mendocino College
Five Steps to Success
Step 2 - ORIENTATION
The orientation eases your transition to Mendocino College by providing valuable information on college programs, services, polices and procedures. You may complete the new student orientation online, using your WebAdvisor User ID and Password, or attend an in person orientation provided through the Counseling Office. Orientation is required of all new students and students returning after an absence. Please contact the Counseling Department directly at 707.468.3048 for more information.
Step 3 - ASSESSMENT
Placement results help you and your counselor determine which classes are most appropriate. You may be exempt from this requirement if you have completed a placement test within the previous three years at another college, successfully completed math or English coursework at an accredited college or university, received an Associate degree or higher, or completed certain exams or coursework in high school. Please check with the Office of Admissions and Records for more information.
Step 4 - EDUCATION PLAN & COUNSELING
Submit transcripts and create an education plan with a counselor. 707.468.3048
