As a Computer Support Technician, Doug troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software issues to keep systems running smoothly. He assists users with technical problems, manages system updates, and supports account access and security. His role also includes maintaining IT equipment, configuring enterprise software, and ensuring efficient system performance.
Doug answers help desk calls, emails, and tickets, assists users with accessing college systems, replaces computers, upgrades software on the computer directly, upgrades software on the computer through a Software management suite, troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues. He assists with Wi-Fi onboarding and trains faculty on the use of Classroom technology.
Doug supports anyone who uses technology at the college. This includes coordinating with Maintenance and Operations (M&O) for projects, resolving issues with classroom technology and computer for Faculty and Employees, and assisting students with wi-fi or password issues.
Doug ensures that the computer systems work, allowing Faculty to teach with technology and Employees to support the students in admissions to the college, registration for classes, financial aid, and academic counseling.
