Greg Allen is an associate professor of chemistry and current Academic Senate President. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis. His graduate research focused on atmospheric chemistry, and he's worked on several research projects investigating ways to improve student learning in chemistry courses. Greg has been teaching chemistry in some form for over 10 years, and started teaching courses at Mendocino College in 2018, where he generally teaches the introduction to chemistry (CHM-200) and general chemistry courses (CHM-250 and 251). 

Outside of teaching chemistry, Greg enjoys woodworking, hiking, biking, cooking, exercising, video games, house projects, photography, and spending time with his family. He also loves exploring the world with his son and wife!
