Physical Therapist Assistant

Emily Bruton is a local physical therapist in Ukiah Valley. After graduating from The Masters University with a BS in Kinesiology, she then earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge in 2015. Since becoming a licensed Physical Therapist, Emily has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient rehabilitation, skilled rehab/post acute, and aquatic therapy.

Emily is currently serving the Geriatric population in a skilled rehab facility and has been a vital contributor to St Augustine DPT internship programs. She has provided a preceptorship to several students through this program. The juxtaposition of student teaching within the geriatric population provides Emily with a balance of youthfulness and energy, adding an immeasurable quality of life for not only her patients, but also for herself as well.

Emily began teaching Human Biology at Mendocino College in 2019 and is looking forward to being a part of the PTA program. When she isn’t working, Emily enjoys an active lifestyle outdoors where you can find her openwater swimming, biking, camping, surfing with her husband on the coast, and walking her dog Lucy in the vineyards. Emily can be reached at ebruton@mendocino.edu
