Policewoman in French Protest
2003, 19.5" x 21.5"
Oil on canvas
Artist's comments: This was a quick exercise of tearing magazine pieces and
making a collage. As I was doing it, a Parisian policewoman materialized on
my paper. She was overwhelmed in the midst of a protest with leaflets flying
everywhere. It was a strangely beautiful moment for me as this picture came
to life. I have since wanted to keep it on the wall near my desk.

"Inside and Outside"
2002, 20" x 30"
Oil on canvas
Artist's comments: The cast was so wistful wishing he could catch the moth on
the outside of the window. I wanted to catch the moment.
Kim Smith
"A Look Toward Home"
2002, 18" x 24"
Oil on canvas
Artist's comments: This landscape is the beginning of a wedding site. The scene
is from the home of the bride's parents. In the distant view on the far mountains
lies the bride's new home with her husband. Remembering her parent's love and
childhood memories, and having hopes and dreams for her future, either way...
it is "A Look Toward Home."
Chanel Wheeler
"Valley Oaks Barn"
2003, 12" x 16"
Oil on canvas
Artist's comments: When I sit under this red umbrella enjoying lunch and a glass
of wine, I think of an old-timer, Bob Fairbairn, telling me tales of his father
in the 20's and 30's working this ranch when they had pears and turkeys.
