Zephyr 2003 has been expanded to include music entries. All of the music presented here was created by current and former students in Recording Arts courses in the Music Department at Mendocino College.

Each recording is presented in two versions: High Quality - for fast Internet connections, Fast Loading - for dialup connections.

Gaither Drake, aka Gaither Loewenstein, is a singer/song writer as well as the former Dean of Instruction at Mendocino College. "Revelation No. 9" has other students helping out, as well as international recording artist Alex DeGrassi. Both pieces were recorded in the Recording Studio at Mendocino College.

Michelle Lambert is a very talented 17-year old from Covelo. Shes a singer-song writer and plays many different instruments with emphasis on the fiddle. She plays all the parts and, all the instruments on these pieces: "Michelle" (fiddle) and "I've Been Good."

Patrick Nagel presents "We Thought We Knew" from his CD titled "As the Last Leaves Fall". Patrick is a thought provoking singer/song writer. His CD was mostly recorded at his home studio.

Marcos Pereda is a singer-song writer from Cuba. He did a number of songs in the college studio, all original compositions. The one presented here, "Marcos", is very upbeat and engaging.

The band Red Bud is made up of four members from the Ukiah area. Yoli Rose, Bob Dress, Gary Pedroni, and David Raitt. "Radio Hit" and "Smoke and Mirrors" were recorded in the college studio, and represent good old fashioned rock and roll.

Madge wrote "In the Play". "Siyahamba" is a traditional tune. Madge plays guitar and sings on both pieces with some vocal help from Thomas DeMarchi and Sari Scanlon, with Barbara Taylor on assorted stringed instruments.

Jeff Wessman is a singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area, currently based in Mendocino County. His music has appeared in radio, television, and other media. He is now focusing on songwriting, performance, teaching music and the creative process. He is also working on his second vocal CD, and has been a major contributor to the college studio. Marjo Wilson is a very talented singer and song writer. (Also an incredible painter) . She lives in Covelo with her musician husband Morton Jensen. These two songs were done at the Mendocino College Recording Studio. Marjo and Morton play all the parts with a back up vocal recorded at a later time by Carolyn Wadman.

Mark Winkler (aka Trail), recorded a number of very funny and clever songs in the college studio over the last few semesters. It was hard to pick one. One of his songs even got national air play on "The Doctor Demento Show".
