Zephyr - 2003/2004 Visual Arts Entry Guidelines

  1. Print a copy of the entry form.
  2. Complete a separate form for each entry.
  3. You may submit a maximum of 5 visual arts entries. (You may also submit literary arts and recording arts entries in addition to any visual arts entries.)
  4. Do not submit original artwork unless you have been specifically asked to do so.
  5. Entries will be accepted in any of the following forms:

    • color or black/white print
    • 35mm slide
    • color transparency up to 4"x5"
    • color xerox
    • digital file (see details below on how to submit digital files)

Special guidelines for submitting entries in digital form:

  • Digital image files will be accepted in any of the following formats: TIFF, JPEG, PSD, AI, PICT.
  • All digital files must be delivered on Zip, CD, or floppy disk.
  • Submitting a digital file as an e-mail attachment is OK, if the filesize is 400K or smaller.

TIPS: High quality digital photographs, prints or slides will improve the chances of your work being accepted. Plan ahead. There will NOT be a free photo session for works being submitted for the Spring 2004 edition. Take photographs early so you can re-take them if necessary and/or seek the assistance of professional or expert photographers.
