Pleasure to Pain and the Masks In Between

"My inspiration for this painting was the intense rollercoasters
of emotional swings I was going through at the time due to love,
confusion, and anxiety.
One night
would be beautiful. I was in love. My emotions, the reddish love-spermy
looking beings coming from my left, were sheer joy and pleasure.
The next night, only one day later, I felt extreme vulnerability,
confusion, hatred, and pain (the bluish beings on the right).
This painting
is about the cycle of pleasure to pain and the hiding of it within
the human self centered between those extremes."
