Untitled
2002
software: Photoshop 6.0, Terragen
For this
image, I created a landscape using Terragen, a terrain generating
program. The image of the woman seemed as forlorn as the landscape,
even in her original environment. I used Photoshop 6 to place
her in the landscape. I had conflicts deciding what to have in
her hands (she was originally holding a small ball), none of the
more popular objects, i.e. ball, flowers, etc., suited the feeling
I wanted to convey.
The death
of a very close family member put all creative thought on a back
burner. When I finally attempted to work on this piece again,
I felt my muses had deserted me. Nothing worked, then while browsing
through my source material, I came across a picture of a pile
of human skulls, and everything fell into place.
