The image
was hand drawn with a mouse using custom adjusted ovals and rectangles,
which were duplicated and to which linear and radial color gradients
were applied.
My "inspiration"
was an illustration in a gardening book on perennials.
I created
"Iris" as a part of my "Mother Lessons" for
my Mothers’ Day web page. "Iris" is used to represent
Beauty as a "lesson" in appreciation from a mother -
probably my own. I gave my mother a copy of "Iris";
it remained in her home until her death.
