Never & Always

by Tina Rader

She’s always good and He’s always bad.
He’s never happy. She’s always sad.
She always works hard. He always doesn’t.
She and He were always wasn’t.

And on it went and so it goes.
And more and same and different and woes.
But Never and Always in time changed.
Now Always and Never were rearranged.

He’s often good. She’s sometimes bad.
They’re occasionally happy, even glad.
They’re never perfect, never trying.
They’re living now. They’ve stopped lying.
