Course Description
This course will focus on the band literature of late 20th
century composers to today. Examples will include marches,
tone poems, overtures, and suites characteristic of the style
period. Through the rehearsal and performance process, students
will gain knowledge of the some of the greatest music ever
written for the large band ensemble. The course will culminate
in a public performance of the music.
