| An introduction to the branch of psychology that studies and treats mental |
| illness and psychological disorders. Areas of study include the diagnosis, |
| treatment, and the social, environmental, and biological factors involved |
| in psychopathology. Specific topics include: stress; anxiety disorders; |
| psychosomatic illness; personality disorders; substance abuse disorders; |
| sexual disorders; depression; bipolar illness; schizophrenia; eating |
| disorders; childhood disorders; treatment; prevention; and mental illness |
| in society. |

| Section 4688 is a video class. The initial class meeting will be held on |
| Saturday, 1/24, 10:30AM - 12:00PM in Room 730. Additional class meetings |
