Course Description

Ancient Greek to contemporary musical literature; examples from all
periods. Analysis of established musical forms. Study of Middle Ages
and Renaissance; Baroque, Classic, Romantic and Contemporary periods and
styles of music. Includes an emphasis on the development of an
appreciation for the integrity of both emotional and intellectual
responses to music of Western and non-Western cultures.
