| Fundamentals of classical ballet technique; basic positions, body |
| placement, barre' exercises, simple steps and combinations essential to |
| the development of the ballet dancer with an overview of the history of |
| ballet. Development of an appreciation of all forms of ballet, both in |
| Western and non-Western cultures, concentrating on personal response, both |
| emotional and intellectual, to various ballet styles, dances, and |
| performers of ballet. |

| Classical ballet is the foundation for traditional dance forms from Jazz |
| to Modern Dance and even Tap. Improve your technique for performances, |
| learn skills to be a "Triple Threat" or just enjoy a well-balanced, |
| professional quality ballet class. Styles from Cecchetti to Bournonville, |
| Vaganova and more are taught along with contemporary influences. |
