| Course Description |

| An exploration of the psychological condition known as post-traumatic |
| stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD is an intense emotional reaction to a |
| profoundly distressing event or experience such as combat, domestic |
| violence, rape, natural disasters, or terrorist attacks. Symptoms |
| include disturbing flashbacks, impulsivity, depression, hypervigilance, |
| increased startle reflex, and nightmares. |
