Course Description

An introduction to nursing concepts and skills. Students are introduced
to the application of critical thinking and the nursing process needed to
provide basic care to clients in a variety of community, long term and
acute care settings. Emphasis is on promoting optimum health across the
health-illness continuum. Clinical experiences provide opportunity to
practice selected skills and include campus laboratory as well as
community hospital and out-patient settings.

Additional Information

Lecture will be held on Mondays from 9:30-12:00 and Wednesdays 10:00-12:30
Lab will be held on Mondays 1:30-4:30 with clinical hours by arrangement
on Tuesdays. First 6 weeks of semester with hours on campus lab. Contact
