| Study and performance of selected large scale orchestral literature. |
| Emphasis will be placed on repertoire scored for an ensemble with multiple |
| part duplication. Includes an emphasis on the development of an |
| appreciation for the integrity of both emotional and intellectual |
| responses to music of Western and non-Western cultures. Student must |
| demonstrate an ability to read printed music at sight on an orchestral |
| instrument. Attendance at scheduled rehearsal and performances is required |
