Course Description

Study and performance of selected large scale orchestral literature.
Emphasis will be placed on repertoire scored for an ensemble with multiple
part duplication. Includes an emphasis on the development of an
appreciation for the integrity of both emotional and intellectual
responses to music of Western and non-Western cultures. Student must
demonstrate an ability to read printed music at sight on an orchestral
instrument. Attendance at scheduled rehearsal and performances is required
