Course Description
Study and performance of Big Band Jazz literature. Investigation of the
fundamental techniques associated with jazz performance. Includes an
emphasis on the development of an appreciation for the integrity of both
emotional and intellectual responses to music of Western and non-Western
cultures. Attendance at scheduled rehearsals, sectionals and performances
is required.
