Mendocino College HEP Program

celebrated it’s the 10th  Graduation

Ukiah, CA – Mendocino College celebrated its ninth High School Equivalency Program (HEP) graduation ceremony on Saturday, September 10, 2011. 

 On a nice sunny day over 150 people attended the ceremony held at the Mendocino College Little Theater.  The ceremony opened with the Aztec dancers from Santa Rosa followed by a few words by Vice-president Meridith Randall. Some students spoke and gave thanks to program and to their family. It closed with dinner at the groove and more performances from Aztec dancers.

           Under the direction of the HEP Director Laura Mora Bravo and Recruiter Manuel Galicia, HEP recruited over 110 students to the program this year, with 115 students successfully participating in the program in 2010-2011 school year. This year 51 of the participating students successfully completed the program and all attain a GED.
