Mendocino College Art Gallery staff is putting their best foot forward with a new exhibit titled, “The Taming of the Shoe”.  Many artists from Ukiah and beyond are contributing works in various media on the theme of shoes and feet.   Some are throwing their “heart and sole” into their creations.  Even writers who sometimes find themselves “tongue-tied” are contributing literary works to the event.  So, don’t drag your feet and come to the opening reception Thursday, October 21st from 4 - 6pm.  The works range from the serious to the absurd and everything in-between.  Wear your fanciest shoes, or at least your favorite pair and “step on it”!  The exhibit runs through November 21st and will be open during the College Repertory Dance Companies performances of “Sole to Soul” November 19, 20, and 21.  Regular gallery hours are 12:30 to 3:30 Tuesday through Thursday or by special appointment. For more information call 707-468-3207.
