22nd Annual Native American College Motivation Day

UKIAH, CA The 22nd Annual Native American College Motivation Day was held on April 25, 2008.  This event focuses on the benefits of getting an education.

Mendocino College hosts the Native American Motivation Day to expose Native American high school and middle school students to the positive benefits of higher education. Speakers from Native American communities share with the students their educational experience, goals, hopes and struggles to succeed. This event provides students with exposure to the Mendocino College campus and gives them information about financial aide and other sources of funding which is available to them to help pay for higher education.

Presentations will be given on preparing for college, goal setting, campus tours and panels from two- year and four-year college representatives.
