Ceramics Workshop with Trent Burkett at the Mendocino College ceramics lab on the main campus in Ukiah at 1000 Hensley Creek Rd on April 24^th 9 am – 3pm

Please join the Mendocino College Ceramics Club in welcoming guest workshop presenter Trent Burkett. In this daylong event of demonstration, slide presentation and lecture Trent will focus on his unique style of combining wheel throwing of porcelain and his handbuilding techniques of cutting, carving and altering on his large and small vessel forms. He will also share an in depth discussion on his art making philosophies and other issues related to the profession life of an artist.

Trent Burkett is a potter, sculptor, and professor of art. He is currently an Associate Professor of Ceramics and Sculpture at University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

His work has been shown at Trax Gallery, Berkeley, CA; JayJay Gallery, Sacramento, CA; The Museum of Craft and Design Store, San Francisco, CA;  the Signature Shop and Gallery, Atlanta, GA, and  Stewart Kummer Gallery, Gualala, CA.

The event will be held at the Mendocino College ceramics lab on the main campus in Ukiah at 1000 Hensley Creek Rd on April 24^th 9 am – 3pm. The fee will be $10 with a potluck lunch dish to pass and $15 without.
