PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR

Mendocino College accepts applications on an on-going basis for part-time, hourly instructors in all disciplines for future possible openings.

DUTIES
: 
Duties of part-time instructors include:  all assigned teaching hours; preparing classroom presentations and assignments; evaluating student performances including quizzes, comprehensive examinations, term papers, and laboratory experiments; supervision of manipulative classes; availability for consultation with students; staying current with developments in their respective fields.

                    
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet the California Community College Minimum Qualifications or the equivalent (a Master's degree in the discipline is preferred; a Bachelor's degree in the discipline and related teaching or occupational experience may be acceptable).  May also qualify to teach with a valid credential, which authorizes teaching in the discipline for a California Community College.

ASSIGNMENT/SALARY:  
Assignments are made on a part-time, hourly contract basis.  A part-time teaching assignment may not exceed a total of 67% of an annual full-time assignment.  Salary is determined by the total class hours times the individual's hourly rate of pay.
