Forrest Lesch-Middelton resume

The Mendocino College Ceramics Club will present a day with Forrest Lesch-Middelton, on Friday, February 13, 9:00am-3:00pm, Voc Ed Building in Room 3010, Mendocino College Ukiah campus, 1000 Hensley Creek Rd.

During this day long workshop Forrest will share his current work through demonstration, slide lecture, and answering questions.
Forrest has spent many years developing techniques for transferring images onto wheel thrown pottery, as-well-as slab built and mold made objects. During this workshop Forrest will demonstrate his techniques through the creation of his image-laden teapots, bottles and jars. Though process is the cornerstone of the work Forrest creates, the final object becomes accessible and relates on many levels. In addition to making pots, Forrest will show images of his work and the places that he draws inspiration from, as-well-as other contemporary and historical references where similar techniques are used.

Forrest is currently Ceramic Program Director at The Sonoma Community Center as well as a teacher at Santa Rosa College and San Francisco City College.

There will be a $5.00 charge for the workshop with a potluck dish to pass, or an additional $5.00 charge for lunch.  For more information call 467-1003.
