PART-TIME COMPUTER SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR

Mendocino College is currently accepting applications for part-time instructors to teach Computer Science at the Ukiah campus for the Spring Semester which begins January 20, 2009, and ends May 22, 2009.
DUTIES:
Duties of part-time instructor includes: all assigned teaching hours; preparing classroom presentations and assignments; evaluating student performances including quizzes, comprehensive examinations, term papers, and laboratory experiments; supervision of manipulative classes; availability for consultation with students; staying current with developments in their respective fields.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet the California Community College Minimum Qualifications or the equivalent (a Master's degree in the discipline is preferred; a Bachelor's degree in the discipline and teaching or occupational experience may be acceptable). May also qualify to teach with a valid credential, which authorizes teaching in the discipline for a California Community College.
ASSIGNMENT/SALARY:
Assignments are made on a part-time, hourly contract basis. A part-time teaching assignment may not exceed a total of 60% of an annual full-time assignment. Salary is determined by the total class hours times the individual's hourly rate of pay.
