717080: Replace Instructional Equipment


Scope of Project: Replace equipment in the theater, recording studio and P.E.

Budget: $477,426

Target Completion Date: 2009-2010

September 2010 - All projects that have been planned to date are complete. Renovation of additional areas is expected to include adjustments where functional changes are needed in response to the District's master plan.

March 2010 - Instructional equipment replacement for classrooms and the upgrade of the fitness lab, weight room, theatre, and recording studio have been completed.

December 2009 - All projects are complete. Training in the recording studio is scheduled for the week of January 25, 2010.

July 2009 - The Fitness Lab and Weight Room renovations are complete. Upgrades to the Theatre and Recording Studio are currently in process.

June 2008 - Bids were awarded for the replacement of the equipment in the Fitness Lab and Weight Room. Proposals for flooring replacement of the same areas are currently being reviewed. Completion of the upgrade is anticipated to occur in August 2008.  

Plans have also been developed to upgrade the theatre lighting and sound systems, and update the recording studio.

April 2008 - The Legal Notice Inviting Bids was published on April 12 and April 19 2008, for the replacement of the equipment in the Fitness Lab and Weight Room. Closing date for bids is April 30, 2008 and the project will be awarded at the May 2008 Board of Trustees' Meeting. It is anticipated that the upgrades to the Fitness Lab and Weight Room will be completed during the month of August 2008.

December 2007 -  Equipment replacement of instructional furniture has been indentified and priortized as immediate to meet student needs in classroms. Furniture was selected, bid, purchased, and has been delivered and set up. Future needs will be identified on an on-going basis.
