UPDATES

July 2009 - The final recommendations regarding pest, asbestos, and lead paint are complete. Planning for the renovation project will commence during the Fall 2009

August 2008 - A Termite Inspection Report has been completed by a local pest inspection company. An asbestos and lead paint inspection will also be ordered to identify additional improvement costs associated with the project.

April 2008 - The Pt. Arena Planning Committee conducted a walk-thru of the property during the month of April. It was determined that further direction will need to be taken from the results of a building evaluation report, and asbestos and building inspection reports. Also, further definition is needed regarding lab needs and requirements. TLCD Architecture will then assist with specifications for materials based upon the needs defined by these findings and the extension of the remodel.

District, with the assistance of legal counsel, will draft a Board Resolution to proceed with this project before any work is done. It is anticipated that the Resolution will be presented at the May 2008 Board of Trustees' Meeting.

August 2007 - Condition assessment of the facility may be able to be included in the State's facilities condition assessment that is being scheduled.
