New Real Estate Class in Willits Starts June 2

Ukiah, CA - Mendocino College is offering its Fundamentals of Geology for Real Estate RLS/GEL 69 course for the first time in Willits. The class meets for two Saturdays starting on June 2, 2007 and ending on June 9, 2007, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Room 3 at the back of the Mendocino County Museum.

The class provides information on the geologic risks and their potential impacts for anyone considering real estate purchase, sale, lease, or building in Mendocino, Lake, or Humboldt Counties. It is designed to provide homeowners and real estate professionals with the knowledge to make informed decisions about the land they live on.

Topics to be covered include: Faults and Earthquakes, Landslides and slope instability, Mineral hazards, Coastal and stream erosion, Flood zones, Water quality, County Plans and Regulations.
