vs. Butte College 1/30/07

The Mendocino College Women’s softball team started the 2007 season by dropping a double header to Butte College at home on January 30. In the first game, Butte used four hits and five Mendocino errors to win 6-1. Sophomore Shylo Rege (Healdsburg) pitched seven complete innings and gave up 2 earned runs, while Freshman Amber Shepherd (Willits) was 1 for 3. Sophomore Lindsay Ruddick (Ukiah) was 2 for 3 and Freshman Sarah Luetke (Yreka) was 2 for 2 in a 9-1 defeat to Butte in game 2. Mendocino will next play at Los Altos Hills on Saturday February 3 against Foothill College.
