The REALL Program prepares you to:

REALL Steps to Success

  • ENG 10 Basic Reading and Writing
Improving reading and writing needed for success in college classes. This class will develop the way you understand what you read and how you write about it.
  • ENG 12 Developmental Reading and Writing
How do you read a psychology textbook or an automotive manual? How do you write and punctuate essays for other college classes? Learn how to improve your reading and writing for all your college classes.
  • ENG 50 College Writing
Do you want to write right? Learn the techniques of writing that will help you achieve your educational and vocational goals at Mendocino College
  • ENG 105 College Reading
How do you make meaning when you read? Learn strategies for reading that will help you achieve your college and transfer goals.

We have reading and writing labs to help along the way

  • ENG 60 - Writing Lab
Who should sign up for a writing lab? Any Mendocino College student who needs help with general college writing; this includes writing essays for ENG 50 or ENG 200, essay question exams, reports in natural science and social science classes, and planning and writing a research paper.
  • ENG 70 - Reading Lab
Get practical help reading your textbooks and other assigned readings in all of your classes; this includes taking notes, developing your vocabulary, and studying for exams. Form study groups with other members of your classes.

How do you know which English class to take?

  • Placement in English classes depends on assessments
  • New students need to go through the assessment processs in The Learning Center to be appropriately placed in an English Class
