The Mendocino College Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit, public benefit corporation comprised of a dedicated team of volunteer community and business/industrial leaders.

The Foundation is committed to supporting Mendocino College's pursuit of excellence in education and services. It channels private funds to provide student scholarships, enrich instruction and basic skills, enhance program and staff development, and strengthen student services. In addition, it seeks to promote and develop a mutually beneficial relationship between the college and the business/industrial community.

Future growth is planned for active participation of business leaders, community members, alumni and students in the Mendocino College Foundation.

Mission Statement

The Foundation’s mission is to cultivate support and raise funds for the benefit of the students of Mendocino College. These funds will be used to support the College’s vision of delivering innovative educational programs, focusing on student success and contributing to our community’s vitality. (Adopted March 2007)

 

Goals/Objectives

  • Actively support student success by broadening and strengthening the scholarship program.
  • Increase funding in priority areas such as career and technically oriented programs and innovative projects which benefit the students.
  • Build a successful development program to increase the number of donors and the total amount of private funds given to the Foundation.
  • Improve awareness of and appreciation for the Foundation’s mission and its support of the College internally and externally.
  • Solicit, develop, and assess projects that result in the optimal use of the Foundation’s real estate. (Adopted March 2007)
