Board of Governors Waiver (BOGW)

A Board of Governors Waiver will pay the enrollment fees for eligible students. Please see the section referring to College Fees for eligibility information.  PLEASE NOTE: Students who qualify for AB540 status are not eligible for fee waivers or financial aid.

Pell Grant

A grant for eligible undergraduate students, range of $200 - $2,025 per semester. The deadline is May 1 during the school year.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

A grant for eligible undergraduate students, maximum of $200 per semester.  These grants are given on a first come, first awarded basis, so early application is important. 

Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)

A grant for eligible undergraduate students, amount of $200 per semester. Students should check with the EOPS office for the deadline and eligibility requirements.

Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (C.A.R.E.)

A grant for eligible single heads of household with a child under the age of six. Amount of grant $300 per semester.  Students should check with the CARE office for the deadline and eligibility requirements.

Cal Grant B

A grant for eligible undergraduate students, range up to $750 per semester. The priority application deadline is March 2 for the forthcoming school year.

Cal Grant C

A grant for eligible undergraduate students up to $265 per year. The priority application deadline is March 2 for the forthcoming school year.

Chaffee Foster Youth Grant

The Chafee Grant provides up to $5,000 a year to foster youth and former foster youth for vocational or transfer certificates and degrees.  This is grant money that does not have to be paid back.  Students must have been eligible for and Independent Living Program (ILP) at least one day between their 16th and 18th birthday and not have reached their 22nd birthday by July 1 of the award year.  For more information, contact Gerri Dutton in the Financial Aid Office in Room 1130, MacMillan Hall.
