  For Students > CARE (Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education)

The CARE Program of Mendocino College offers extra support for single parents on TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) or an eligible CalWORKs student (California Work Opportunities and Responsibility to Kids Program) with at least one child under the age of 14. Students must be attending full-time, receiving EOPS assistance and enrolled in a vocational program, certificate or AA degree program.

C.A.R.E. provides the following assistance:

  • Grant
  • School Supply Voucher
  • Workshops

CARE provides support, encouragement and individualized assistance throughout a student's entire college experience.

A CARE Application or further information may be obtained by telephoning the Ukiah Campus at 468-3110, Lake Center at 263-4944, or Willits Center at 459-6224, or by visiting the EOPS/CARE Office, Room 1130, MacMillan Hall, Ukiah Campus.
