How to Graduate

Mendocino College has a formal graduation ceremony once a year (at the end of the spring semester), but a student may petition to graduate at the end of fall, spring, or summer terms.  Please review the Academic Calendar for application deadlines.

To receive an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science degree or Certificate of Achievement, a student is required to submit an application for graduation through one of the following methods.

Online Graduation Application

Applications for graduation can now be submitted through WebAdvisor.  Simply log into your WebAdvisor account and follow these directions.  A confirmation email will be sent once the application is successfully submitted.

Paper Graduation Application

1.  Print the “Petition to Graduate” and complete the shaded section.
2.  Make an appointment with your counselor to have an exit interview or transcript review.
3.  Meet with your counselor.  At that time s/he will help you complete the Petition to Graduate and will make sure you are ready.
4.  Completed applications are submitted to the Office of Admissions and Records for processing.

Graduating Student Survey

Though not required, it is requested that all graduating students complete the Graduating Student Survey so that the College can better serve future students.  The completed survey can be submitted to the Office of Admissions and Records.

2012/13 Graduate Candidates

The Fortieth Commencement Ceremony will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Mendocino College gymnasium.  All students who petitioned for graduation for the Fall 2012, Spring 2013 and Summer 2013 terms are invited to participate in the ceremony.  A graduation packet will be mailed to all graduation candidates April 15th.  Any questions or requests for special accommodations should be directed to the Office of Admissions and Records at 707-468-3101.
