WHAT WE ARE UP TO
Most recently we have been trying to get the word out about who we are and what we do, and get the word out about the Mendocino dance department in general. We have put our T-shirt's in the Mendocino College Bookstore.

We also started a web site dedicated to this Dance Club and Company: www.angelfire.com/hiphop3/groovin707/

WHAT IS HIP HOP?

Groovin artHip Hop: n. A popular urban youth culture, closely associated with rap music and with the style and fasions of African-American inner-city residents. More specifically, Hip Hop culture is the entirety of socially transmitted behaviors, patterns, arts, beliefs, institutions, and all other products of human work and thought. The Hip Hop culture is made up of four elements: the spoken word (rapping, beatboxing), the written word (tagging), the musical form (mixing), and the physical form (dance.) The physical form is further broken down into popping, locking, flowing, breaking, choreography, and freestyle.
