Eight time Grammy nominated producer/guitarist and performer Roy Rogers
is the 2003-04 Recording Artist-in-Residence at Mendocino College.

Roy Rogers will be a guest lecturer April 6-9 in the following Music classes:

  • Music 202 * Music Theory/Harmony II
  • Music 207 * Introduction to Music Appreciation
  • Music 230 * Beginning Voice
  • Music 232 * Singers' Repertoire

Rogers is featured on the new release by multi - Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bonnie Raitt entitled "Silver Lining" on the track "Gnawin On It" which they cowrote.

A distinguished career in American Roots music, Roy Rogers has a lengthy list of accomplishments as a performer, recording artist, songwriter and producer. Highlights include:An exceptional performance record at some of the world's most prestigious festivals in Europe, North America, Australia and Brazil including the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), The Cisco Ottawa Blues Festival (Canada), The Chicago Blues Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Royal Festival Hall (London), The London Jazz Festival, Pistoia and San Remo Festivals (Italy), The Pori Jazz Festival (Finland), Nodotten (Norway) and Tondor Festivals (Denmark) among many others.
