Distance Education credit courses provide students an opportunity to complete a course on their own time, usually at home or in the College Learning Centers. The courses are academically equivalent to the same courses taught on-campus but require a greater amount of independent study and commitment by the student.
Mendocino College offers these credit courses through a variety of media delivery systems. These systems include audio and video cassettes and internet (online). Except for online classes, which usually have no class meetings, all classes include at least three on-campus meetings on Friday nights or Saturdays with the instructor. Further information may be obtained from the Director of Distance Education at 467-1024.
