Gene Parsons, our 1999-2000 Recording Artist-in-Residence, has just released a live CD of his performance at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts. This is the first commercially produced CD of a performance at our Center. Those of you who attended his performance will want to have a copy as a souvenir of the event; those who did not will want to hear the fantastic show that you missed. The sound quality of the recording, produced by our own Steve Oliveria and Jeff Nash, is excellent; we have a truly remarkable venue for live recording of concerts.

A limited quantity of the CDs has been made available to me to sell for $ 10 each, with 100 percent of the proceeds from these sales to be donated to the Recording Artist-in-Residence Program. By purchasing a copy, you will help make it possible for us to continue this program, bringing a different recording artist to campus every Spring as a guest lecturer and live performer.
