Solo Classical Piano Music
Come join Elizabeth MacDougall for a solo performance of classical piano music
Elizabeth MacDougall has taught piano in the Mendocino Community College District in Ukiah, California since 1985. In 2000, she was the recipient of the President's Award for Excellence in Teaching. MacDougall received the Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the University of the Pacific in Stockton in 1981. She received the Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in 1983 from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
This past season MacDougall performed Kathleen Mayne's Concertino with the Ukiah Symphony as well as the Poulenc Double Piano Concerto. Over the past 20 years, MacDougall has performed Chopin Second Piano Concerto, Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto, Grieg's Piano Concerto, Beethoven's Chorale Fantasy, Bach's Fifth Brandenburg Concerto, and Franck's Symphonic Variations with Music Director Leslie Pfutzenreuter and the Ukiah Symphony. In 2002, MacDougall released a CD of favorite classical piano pieces.
